Overview
The MultiTest-i twin-column system is a tensile and compression tester controlled by software run on a computer.
Commonly used in the wine and spirits industry for testing the axial compression strength of packaging materials such as cardboard boxes. Also used as part of automated testing systems for checking the material properties of cork in applications such as dimensional recovery after compression (ISO 9727-4).
MultiTest-i systems deliver both consistency and reliability by controlling the key test parameters of force, displacement and speed. This means that the inherent variability found when using manual test methods is almost fully removed. They are relied on by quality-control professionals around the world to objectively assess the compressive strength of packaging and finished products.
